“I herniated my lumbar disk in late October 2006, and couldn't walk, stand or sit. I went to a chiropractor, who referred me to a pain management center, where I received epidural shots. With only a 15-20% improvement, surgery was recommended. Not willing to do so at the time, I explored my alternatives. While I learned that time and rest would allow my body to heal itself naturally, I didn't want to just lay around and wait, and hope. I felt I needed to do something more proactive. My brother, who takes his daughter to you for pediatric care, mentioned that you also offer acupuncture. So I began treatment with you mid-December. This being my first acupunture experience, you took the time to explain everything to me, including the procedure itself, the number of visits I may need, as well as the possible outcome of the treatment. You answered any questions I had and even offered suggestions for at-home exercises. I found the procedure to be pain free, and even relaxing. Since I began receiving treatment from you about a month and a half ago, I've experienced a 50-60% improvement. I'm hopeful that with continued acupuncture sessions, light exercise and time, I will be able to return to health, and life.
